Continues Growth Pattern in Nielsen HH Ratings and Key Demos


Indian Land, SC – Final data from the Nielsen Company reveals that INSP established several new highs for household impressions and ratings for the month of February. The announcement was made by David Cerullo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.


According to Nielsen data, INSP average 112,000 household impressions for the month. This was an increase of 3.2% from 109,000 impressions in January (which had been a record for the network). This was an increase of 55.6% from 72,000 impressions the network averaged a year earlier, in February 2012. The network also set a new high for its commercial content, which averaged 173,000 household impressions, an increase of 66.7% from 104,000 in February 2012.


“INSP continues to be one of the fastest-growing networks,” Cerullo said. “Audiences continue to resonate with our ‘New Day’ programming with our blend of family-favorites. Viewers clearly feel at home with INSP, with very high repeat viewing levels. While we have seen strong increases in household ratings and impressions, we also are seeing comparable increases in many key demographic categories.”


Cerullo said that growth had been particularly strong on weekends. In February 2013, INSP averaged 137,000 household impressions on weekends, an increase of 389% over February 2012. For the year-to-date, through February, weekend primetime impressions were up 95.8% over the 2012 average. Overall year-to-date weekend impressions (January-February) are up 143% over the 2012 average.
